Hello Families!
My name is Nikee Booton AKA BOO, and I am a Colorado Native. This is my 18th year with the Timber Trail Family! I began as a Severe and Significant Needs Assistant and then moved to kindergarten for a while and really enjoyed both experiences! I have been in first grade for over a decade now, and have enjoyed continuing my learning and practices to better give the gift of education to all of my kiddos!
I received my Bachelor's degree from Metropolitan State University where I studied Behavioral Science and Elementary Education. Later I received my Master's degree from American Military University where I studied Elementary Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood Literacy. I continue to take courses over the summer as well as when they pop up during the school year. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE what I do and I look forward to teaching, learning, loving, and laughing each and every day with my kiddos!
I have a love and passion for the ocean and all things mermaid! I enjoy sewing, photography, creating, dreaming, being outdoors, spending time with family, and seeking adventures! The things I cannot live without are music, the gym, and my "kicks' :)
I believe that each and every child is a true gift with the potential to do anything they put their mind to, and that they are all amazing humans who can grow up to "BE SOMEBODY BIG!" I value each and every kiddo as a whole child and truly cherish forming and maintaining bonds with them. I take pride in creating a safe, loving, and nurturing environment where students feel free to be themselves and conquer all of their goals, and have no fear in sharing their wishes and dreams!
