Electronic Device Policy

CELL PHONES & SMARTWATCHES:

To ensure minimal disruption in the classroom, we kindly request that students refrain from bringing cell phones or smartwatches to school. If a student needs to contact their parents, they may use the phones provided by the school. We understand that some parents may prefer their child to have a cell phone or smartwatch for safety reasons when traveling to and from school, however, these devices must remain powered off and stored in the student's backpack while on school premises. If a student is found using their phone or smartwatch during school hours, their parent or guardian will be required to collect it from the office after school. Please note that Timber Trail is not liable for any lost, damaged, or stolen phones.


FITNESS TRACKERS, GIZMOS, ELECTRONIC MUSIC DEVICES, and SMART TABLETS:

At school, the use of fitness trackers, gizmos, electronic music devices, smart tablets, personal computers, or any device capable of sending or receiving messages or calls is strictly prohibited. We kindly request that students do not bring these items onto school premises and instead keep them at home. However, we understand that some students may require a device for participation in performance day with personal music. In this situation, we ask that the student gives the device to their classroom teacher to hold onto before and after the music class.
