Hello! I am Mrs. Di Capo!
Welcome to Timber Trail's Learning Lab department!
I have been the Learning Lab (SSN) teacher for the last 2 years and am looking forward to my 3rd year for the 2024-2025 school year! Last year, our Red Shirt Rookies program reignited at Timber Trail and I had the pleasure of coaching this phenomenal program! I hope you take a look at our RSR program. We would love to have all students who access our lab participate! Some of my favorite memories from last year were on the field/in the gym with our RSR team! I cannot wait to start this school year! We are going to have so much fun and we are going to learn and grow along the way!
When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending my time outdoors: hiking, spending time with my son (Aiden - almost 2 yrs old), coaching TTE's Red Shirt Rookies unified team, going to baseball games, farmers markets, and volunteering with Team Rubicon. Baking and cooking are passion projects for me & a way to de-stress.
I have an undergraduate degree from Hope College where I double majored in Special Education Emotional Impairments & Learning Disabilities with a minor in Elementary Education. I earned my Masters in Special Education from UCCS: Colorado Springs in 2014. Teaching is what brought me to Colorado from upstate NY.
